About the role:

The Modern Work Specialist is responsible for driving the adoption, security, and optimisation of modern workplace solutions, ensuring organisations maximise productivity, collaboration, and compliance in a hybrid work environment. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to implement digital transformation strategies using Microsoft 365, cloud-based collaboration tools, automation, and identity security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the adoption of modern work solutions such as Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot, and the Microsoft Viva Suite to enhance employee experience, communication, and engagement.
• Assess organisational needs and develop strategies to improve collaboration and remote work capabilities.
• Provide training and change management support to end users to maximise adoption.
• Identify opportunities for process automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, and AI-driven solutions.
• Implement and monitor security best practices for modern work environments, including endpoint security, Microsoft Entra ID, and data protection.
• Manage identity and access controls, enforcing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and Single Sign-On (SSO) policies.
• Collaborate with business owners, IT teams, and end-users to understand pain points and deliver solutions that enhance productivity and security.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends in modern workplace technology, including AI-driven collaboration and identity governance advancements.

About you:

As a seasoned professional, you'll have experience supporting and informing at a senior level, as well as building strong collaborative relationships throughout the organisation. You’ll easily develop effective networks and relationships with key stakeholders, and leverage from these relationships to magnify LIC’s productivity journey! 

To ensure your success, you will demonstrate:

• Minimum of six years’ experience in the ICT industry, with at least 3+ years of experience in a Modern Work role.
• Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate, Entra ID Administrator Associate, or similar.
• Experience with hybrid work environments, remote collaboration, identity governance, and AI-powered workplace tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute modern workplace transformations, driving measurable improvements in collaboration, productivity, and security
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Power Platform, and Microsoft Viva Suite), Microsoft Entra ID, and cloud security principles.
• Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and RBAC.
• Experience in user adoption strategies, training, and change enablement.
• Understanding of Power Automate, Power Apps, and other workflow automation tools
• Understanding of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure licensing models, including E3, E5, Business Premium, and add-ons to ensure cost-effective and compliant license management.
• Ability to support audits, report on compliance, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, translate technical concepts into business value, and provide clear guidance.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
