About the Role:
You will use your deep knowledge of business process to support and coach the business to identify and manage risk, monitor and report key risk data points, assess control effectiveness, and contribute to the success of enterprise-wide initiatives to support the maturity of LIC’s control environment and drive a positive risk culture. To support LIC’s Internal Audit Programme of work, you will plan, audit and report enterprise and business unit audits, together with monitoring progress and verification of associated actions through an independent, objective, and professional process. This role also supports LIC’s Crisis Management Framework, including contributing to business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management planning and simulation activities.
About You:
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build strong, effective relationships across all levels of our business is crucial. You have the ability to drive a positive risk culture, understand complex and unique business processes.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in business process, risk management and/or internal audit.
- Ability to clearly articulate business issues, impacts, and required actions to relevant parties.
- Awareness of organisational self-assessment procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively, influence stakeholders and uphold integrity and accountability.
- Ideally have a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification and experience in a chartered accounting firm
- Excellent active listening, and verbal communication skills and report writing skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and an eye for detail
- A great team player with ability to work independently when necessary
- A passion for continuous improvement and learning
