About the Role:
The role is based in Riverlea, where there is free onsite parking. We also offer flexible working hours and are more than happy to discuss flexible start and finish times to suit your lifestyle.
Your role will responsible for preparation and testing of bovine tissue, blood and semen samples for Animal Health testing. Alongside this you will maintain the operation of the laboratory within the required ISO standards, including but not limited to the maintenance and calibration of the laboratory equipment. Your key focus will include:
Preparation and testing of Bovine tissue, milk, blood and semen samples for PCR and ELISA testing in the Animal Health Laboratory
Accurately reporting results in a timely manner
Maintaining lab equipment and assisting with calibrations
Implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025 quality standards for all laboratory practices
Using your knowledge and experience to mentor and support colleagues
Your role will be responsible for:
Preparation of a range of Bovine and Caprine samples for testing in our Animal Health Laboratory
Reporting on results
Implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025 quality standards for all laboratory practices
Using your knowledge and experience to mentor and support colleagues
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
Has at least 2 years’ experience working in a commercial laboratory
Is experienced in PCR and ELISA testing
Possesses experience or understanding of the farming environment
Is agile, flexible, resilient and collaborative
