About the Role:
As Senior Communications Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of how LIC connects with the world. Reporting to the Communications Lead and part of our Customer Experience team, you’ll shape powerful internal and external communications that inform, inspire and strengthen our reputation with people, customers and industry stakeholders.
Your Key Focus:
Lead high‑impact internal and external communications, media and public relations initiatives that bring LIC’s strategy and story to life.
Shape and deliver engaging internal communications that connect people across the business, nationally and enterprise‑wide.
Be a trusted advisor on public relations and external communications, providing expert guidance across media, customer communications, social media and stakeholder engagement.
Craft and curate compelling content across LIC’s website, publications and social channels—ensuring every message is on‑brand, purposeful and strategically aligned.
Build, enhance and protect LIC’s public profile through proactive, thoughtful and well‑planned communications.
Support the anticipation, management and resolution of issues and crises to safeguard LIC’s reputation and maintain trust.
Your Skills & Experience:
A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, public relations or journalism.
Strong understanding of LIC products and services, the dairy industry, and the needs of our shareholders.
Proven ability to influence, negotiate and build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar senior communications role.
Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills.
Highly developed communication, collaboration and relationship‑building capabilities.
