About the Role:
We are recruiting for seasonal staff to join our Artificial Breeding team as a Seasonal Production Laboratory Technicians; become part of a dynamic group of individuals that provide industry-leading products, empowering dairy farmers to create more sustainable and profitable farms.
As a Seasonal Production Laboratory Technician, you will be an essential part of our laboratory team, focusing on the preparation and testing of Semen samples. Days of work and start times may change during our peak season (October/November).
Roles will commence in August and end in December.
Days of work and hours may vary based on work availability but will be a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight and up to 40 hours per week in the peak processing period.
We operate 7 days a week during peak season and use a 5 on 2 off roster. The 2 days off are consecutive but not necessarily Saturday or Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate effectively within the laboratory setting.
Strong organisational and time management skills to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines.
Willingness to learn and flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all laboratory activities to ensure traceability and reliability of data.
A proactive attitude, with a commitment to quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
A tertiary qualification in science and/or laboratory experience is preferred but not essential.
