LIC is a farmer-owned co-operative that’s been supporting herd improvement in New Zealand’s dairy sector for more than 115 years. We’re focused on providing superior genetics, reliable testing and diagnostics, integrated on-farm software, and great customer service, all designed to help farmers make smarter decisions every day.
As a proud generational co-operative, we’re here for farmers, their families, and rural communities, not just for today, but for the future. And none of it happens without our people. Whether on farm, in the lab, or behind the scenes, every one of us plays a part in helping New Zealand farmers succeed.

Partner with technology teams to embed pragmatic security practices that enable business outcomes.
Support incident response activities and drive improvements from lessons learned.
Contribute to cyber security uplift initiatives, assurance activities, audits, and penetration testing programmes.
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and operating procedures.
Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to help keep LIC secure.
Provide meaningful security reporting and insights to support informed decision-making.
Your Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
5+ years' experience in cyber security, information security, security engineering, or a similar role.
Proven experience leading Vulnerability Management and/or Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) programmes.
Strong capability in security risk assessments, security reviews, and threat modelling across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

Experience supporting security assurance, compliance, audit, and cyber security improvement programmes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and recommend practical solutions.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
