Turn farmer insights into smarter tools, launch impactful agritech products, and build strong customer relationships to shape the future of MINDA.
We usually respond within two weeks
LIC is a farmer-owned co-operative that’s been supporting herd improvement in New Zealand’s dairy sector for more than 115 years. We’re focused on providing superior genetics, reliable testing and diagnostics, integrated on-farm software, and great customer service, all designed to help farmers make smarter decisions every day.
As a proud generational co-operative, we’re here for farmers, their families, and rural communities, not just for today, but for the future. And none of it happens without our people. Whether on farm, in the lab, or behind the scenes, every one of us plays a part in helping New Zealand farmers succeed.
About the Role:
As a Product Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our Farm Software team within NZ Markets, working closely with the Product Manager – MINDA, to shape the future of our MINDA product suite. This is a dynamic role that blends customer insight, product development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver meaningful improvements that support New Zealand farmers.
You’ll lead customer research efforts to ensure our teams deeply understand the daily jobs and challenges faced by our users. Your insights will directly inform product enhancements and help drive smarter, more intuitive solutions. You’ll also play a key role in planning and executing product launches, crafting engaging promotional content, and developing support materials that empower both internal teams and customers.
As a trusted point of contact for product-related support, you’ll respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and build strong relationships with our users to gather valuable feedback. You’ll monitor product performance, stay ahead of industry trends, and work with the Product Manager to identify and implement improvements that elevate customer satisfaction and product excellence.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, customer-focused, and passionate about delivering high-impact solutions. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to making a difference in the agricultural tech space, we’d love to hear from you.
About You:
You’re a proactive and insightful professional with a passion for agritech and a strong understanding of the dairy sector. With a background in agribusiness, marketing, or technology, you’re ready to dive deep into customer needs, support product development, and help bring innovative solutions to life. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving problems, and are driven by a desire to make a real impact for farmers and the teams that support them.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- A tertiary qualification, ideally in Agri-business, Marketing, or Technology, giving you a strong foundation to understand both the customer and product landscape.
- A solid understanding of LIC’s products and services, and how they connect to the needs of New Zealand’s dairy sector.
- Insight into the dairy industry, including our shareholders’ current challenges and future opportunities.
- Exceptional relationship management skills - you’re confident liaising across diverse teams, influencing stakeholders, and building trust with customers and colleagues alike.
- A passion for building out reporting and analytics, helping shape smarter insights for our customers and internal teams.
In Return:
In addition to a competitive salary, you'll receive extra leave days, flexible working options, discounted health, life, income and disability insurances, access to our employee shares scheme, wellbeing discounts, free onsite parking, an employee assistance programme, plus more!
The role provides the opportunity to join a progressive and forward-thinking organisation, at the cutting edge of agri-tech, where you'll play a role in driving the future of dairy in NZ.
