About the Role:
Reporting to the Herd Test Regional Manager, the Herd Test Team Leader is responsible for delivering quality customer service across the wider West Coast & Tasman region. Their field team reports provide a range of services including herd test set up and assisting, animal DNA sampling, dairy herd audits and weighing.
Your key focus:
Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers, resolving queries promptly and in line with Herd Testing standards.
Ensure compliance with Herd Testing tasks, ISO standards, and quality processes, including staff training and equipment calibration.
Assist with capacity planning by monitoring and updating schedules, with consideration of operational budgets and targets.
Lead and develop the team, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and KPI monitoring for permanent and seasonal staff.
Manage satellite depots within your designated region.
Champion continuous improvement within the team and across the business.
About you:
Essential:
Current, clean full Class 1 driver licence
Remote team management experience
Comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite and use of technology mobile devices
Excellent communication and time management skills
Familiar with resource allocation/management (e.g vehicles/plant/equipment)
Process focus, with an emphasis on standardisation
Awareness of Health and Safety requirements
Physically fit to be able to undertake on farm activities alongside your team as required
Desirable:
An understanding of dairy farming
Herd Testing knowledge
Experience in an ISO environment
