About the Role:
This is a seasonal role of 6 months, supporting the animal health laboratory through its peak testing period. We are looking for Laboratory Technicians to join our team, from November – April. These are fulltime positions (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday.
This role reports to the Animal Health Team Leader and is based at our Riverlea Road site.
Your role will be responsible for:
Preparation of a range of Bovine and Caprine samples for testing in our Animal Health Laboratory
Reporting on test results
Implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025 quality standards for all laboratory practices
About You:
We are looking for someone who has:
Ideally, experience working in a commercial laboratory
Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks and work collaboratively across teams
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Confidence around computers and using software interfaces
A high level of motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced / high throughput environment
A consistently high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ideally experience in PCR or ELISA testing, which would be highly advantageous
